Ticket Prices and what a difference a few months make?

I think we may have been paying more for FM tickets had the economy not headed south?

Found this snippet of info on Rockradio.com

The Top 10 most expensive concert tickets of 2008 were:
Madonna - $378
Elton John - $306
The Eagles - $279
AC/DC - $263
Tina Turner - $263
Celine Dion - $240
Bruce Springsteen - $235
Coldplay - $217
Neil Diamond - $217
The Police - $216

ETA: AC/DC and Coldplay have both landed on a list of the 10 most expensive acts to see in concert in 2008, according to NoiseAddict.com. The list was compiled from a range of average prices on Ticketmaster, and did not include prices for resold or scalped tickets.

"The results for the top ten list are based on average re-sale ticket pricing from Ticketmaster Entertainment."

And, from Pollstar:

The price point for Fleetwood Mac tickets was never going to be affected by the economy, or anything else. If they couldn't get their performance fee, they'd most likely simply rather stay home.

I totally agree, LUKEA- They would rather fill it, or pass on it.

They now have tickets for under $50 in Columbus, which makes it doable.

What did they start out at, Steve?

They just announced Columbus. But IIRC, they were much, MUCH higher when first announced.

10-15% of the house in all markets are priced at $49.50-$55- they always have been.
