Lindsey's Chet Akins

Some time ago I was reading an interview with Rick Turner (I am pretty sure, but it is about 10% possible that it was Lindsey). I can't find this again, and was wondering if anyone else knows what i am talking about. In it. he said that he had worked on Lindsey's Chet Akins guitar (that he plays on Big Love). I think that he said that he basically put a mini-synth inside so that the end result was there was a trace of synth in the song. I cannot find anything else to prove or disprove this, though. Can anyone help me out here, I want to know if this is true or not.

(EDIT: think there should be a "K" in Atkins in the title, forgive me.)

Yeah the pickup was one of Turner's hex-synth pickups. You can see it in the soundhole of the guitar when Lindsey plays Big Love and Go Insane on "The Dance."

Yes Rick Turner looks after that guitar for Lindsey. As I Recall thats the guitar that actually inspired Rick to build the RS6.
