Hey, this poll is Lindsey and Christine biased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 :(
LOL just kidding. I voted for Mystifed again. Let's get rid of it already! Seven Wonders happens to be my least favorite song of Stevie's on this album. I prefer her other two. |
7 Wonders: she didn't even write it.

^^
Yea -- but she jams on and in it  Family Man got my vote. Too quirky for me. |

Still it is catchy and I love the start of it, instead of Micks drums we get a cool sounding synth intro. Anyway Mystified needs to go soon. |
I love Mystified...
it's mysterious... it's written by both Buckingham and McVie it has takes with both on lead vocals... Christine was final vocal... it has an amazing atmospheric lead guitar at the end.... it leaves me with the feeling that I really liked side one.... and it leaves me ready for the intro to little lies.... |

That's why I have always found myself in basic antipathy with the advocates of Nicks-as-poet. No "poetry" she has ever written can stand up to the band's remarkable sonics. (At their best, of course ... not at their worst) |

On the pentatonic subject, I always got a kick out of the way Rick Vito ended all performances of SEVEN WONDERS on the 1987 tour -- he codas a five-tone scale with suitably Oriental-sounding bends! |

I do agree with you though that the sonics were remarkable. I also think that La Nicks' voice from Mirage back heavily influenced that sound. The chorus of Dreams is a good example, and she is not even singing lead on it  |
Hey Mystified is far more beautiful than Caroline!! vote for Caroline!!

(the melody is) tarara.. tarari.. goes twice, and then goes dararara dararari twice, and that's it. There is nothing else there. I think we've achieved what I'm always aiming for, to try to keep things as simple as possible. I mean the inner thing in a song should be as simple as possible. Benny Anderson - 1999 And if master Benny said it so, it's true. no discussion!!! No doubt Winner takes it all became a masterpiece, a jewel.. and one of my favorite songs in the whole wide world!! Well, not all simple things may turn into jewels, but some repetitous songs may be cool also.. so I like Mystified!!! |
