How Still My Love - US Festival

Sure, she's obviously high as a kite and actually sings directly to Russ Kunkel for a full 20 seconds, but whatever. I love this performance anyway. Skip to 1:32 for hot baby-fat arm-flapping action!

I give it a 8.5 out of 10 on my Tuskaliciousness scale. A 10 might actually hurt someone.

Yes, I like that too. And look at that Aztec landing pad!
Billy Payne on organ in this one.

But I'm curious: Stevie's old (1977 to 1986) performances are always characterized as "high as a kite" etc. by just about everybody here. Given that, are there any performances from those years for which she isn't?

She seems lucid in the Solid Gold performances.

"How can you even land on this thing?" (somewhere on the RAL tour)

The thing that bugs me is that since all the drug history is public knowledge, everyone assumes that she was "high as a kite" in every single performance. It almost seems sometimes that it's the first thing people will comment on even if her "highness" isn't that apparent. It warrants the same kind of reaction similar to "how many copies Rumours sold" vs the actual music itself. In this case, it's "how high or f'd up Stevie was" vs the actual performance. Unfortunately, I guess that's what happens when you do a lot of partying and then come out years later about it.

Nevertheless she still looks as high as a kite

High or not she looked amazing, I wish she didnt get that perm for the rest of the tour.

Is that all? Eight minutes in nine years?
