In an over-the-top accent, one half of a notorious Quebec comedy duo claims to be the president of France as he describes sex with his famous wife, the joy of killing animals and Hustler magazine's latest Sarah Palin porno spoof.

At the other end of the line? An oblivious Sarah Palin.

The Masked Avengers, a radio pairing notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state, notched its latest victory today when it released a recording of a six-minute call with Palin, who thought she was talking with Nicolas Sarkozy.

I know - she sounded like a complete idiot on this call - she did not recognize the BS names given. When Audette refered to Canadian singer Steph Carse as Canada's prime minister, Palin replied "Well, he's doing fine and yeah, when you come into a position underestimated it gives you an opportunity to prove the pundits and the critics wrong. You work that much harder." Canada's prime minister is Stephen Harper. How did Palin not know this? Can't she see Canada from Alaska :laugh:

Moreover, did her staff not vet the call :eek:

She is totally the whackjob that McCain campaign insiders accuse her of being.Imagine if she ended up President and someone pretending to be Putin cranked her and said the bombs were on the way.For the horrible choice of her as his running mate alone gramps McCain so richly deserves the loss that is coming his way.

These guys said it took 2 months to get ahold of Paul McCartney to prank him - only took 4 days to reach Palin. WTF?

I was hoping that perhaps she couldn't really hear him well, or understand his accent. If not, she was just blatantly ignoring the silly parts of the conversation. That's scary to me. The whole thing was just uncomfortable.
