Bryan Ferry has revealed he'd like to design out his own clothing line. The Roxy Music frontman was awarded the BMI Icon Award at the BMI London Awards gala dinner at the Dorchester Hotel on Tuesday night. Bryan told The Times at the ceremony: "It's something I would really like to do. I should have done it years ago. "I did collaborate with the designer Antony Price, who created a range for Topman. If P Diddy can do it, why can't I?" The 63-year-old's stage outfits inspired last year's Burberry collection and he is currently the face of Marks and Spencer's menswear. Other winners of the night included Beyonce's Irreplaceable, which won the prestigious Robert S Musel Award for Song Of The Year. The BMI Dance Award went to Beyonce and Shakira's duet Beautiful Liar. Lily Allen won her first BMI London Award for her hit single Smile from her debut Alright. Additional award-winners included Shania Twain, The Bee Gees, Sir Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie, and ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. The awards recognise the most played songs on US TV and radio. Wed 08 Oct According to other sites, the award was for "Over My Head." Alas, there don't appear to be any pictures. |
On the BMI site it was listed under the Multi-Million Performance awards and it said Over My Head was in the category of 3 million performances.
