ROUND 9: Lindsey Buckingham Survivor: 21st Century Edition

ROUND 9: Lindsey Buckingham Survivor: 21st Century Edition

ROUND 9 WILL DECIDE THE SURVIVOR FROM SAY YOU WILL AND GIFT OF SCREWS.

ROUND 10 WILL DETERMINE THE SURVIVOR FOR UNDER THE SKIN.

ROUND 11 WILL DECIDE THE ULTIMATE 'best of the buck' SURVIVOR (WE WILL VOTE FOR FAVORITE IN A THREE-WAY POLL).

I thought it would be fun to celebrate Lindsey's achievements this decade by running a Survivor Challenge of his released studio tracks. The rules are simple, vote to eliminate one track from each album. When we're down to one track per album, those three tracks will battle for survival. The champ title: Lindsey Buckingham's best track in the 21st Century (so far). May the best Buck win! I will try to update this every day at noon. You have 24 hours.

Say You Will: Bleed To Love Her
Under The Skin: Cast Away Dreams
Gift of Screws: W8 4 U

I can't believe Steal Your Heart Away, Bleed To Love Her and What's The World Coming To were the last 3 Say You Will songs.

Eliminate SYHA

Under The Skin...

Cast Away Dreams has to be next out

Gift of Screws...

Right Place To Fade. Because Wait For You rocks.

Steal Your Heart Away
Down On Rodeo
The Right Place To Fade

Steal your heart away
Someone's gotta change your mind
Wait for you

SYW - Bleed to Love Her
UTS - Cast Away Dreams
GOS - Right Place to Fade (aka Twist of Fate :D)

Bleed To Lover Her
Castaway Dreams
Wait For You

SYW- Bleed to Love Her

UtS- SGCYM

GoS- Wait for You

I will keep my angry comments about the remaining sources to myself.

But Red Rover deserves to win much more than Steal Your Heart Away AND Bleed to Love Her COMBINED.

Sorry.

SYW: Bleed to Love Her
UTS: Castaway Dreams
GOS: Wait For You (come oooooon Twist of...er, Right Place to Fade!)

BTLH

CAD

Right Place to Fade

I might like SYHA and BTLH equally, but I heard BTLH for the Dance. It didn't need to be on SYW. Of course, SYHA was on the Best Buy CD as well, but that was still less exposure.

Michele

Steal Your Heart Away
Someones Gotta Change Your Mind
Wait For you

Bleed to Love Her
Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
Right Place to Fade

VOTE: Bleed to Love Her
REASON: How the hell did this beat Red Rover OR Say Goodbye???, Plus SYHA is my favorite

VOTE: Cast Away Dreams
REASON: I dont care about this album at all, so I won't vote for it in final 3, whatever

VOTE: Right Place to Fade
REASON: Because I LOVE Wait for You :)

So Far it's :

5 SYHA
8 BTLH

8 CAD
1 DOR
4 SGCYM

7 RPTF
6 WFY

It looks like UTS is having the most consensus :)

No, no, no, no, no, no, no no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!

Please, I beg you, do not let Down on Rodeo or SGCYM outlast Cast Away Dreams!!!!!! Cast Away Dreams is just such a touching, moving, beautiful song. I might be able to (barely) survive the loss of Red Rover and Not Too Late, but this would just be devastating!!!

P.S. Do you think that I had enough no's up there?
