Request!

Hello, I've been making a lot of threads tonight, eh? Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had the compliations:
Uncirculated Rumours
of
Songs of Rhiannon
I've only been able to find parts of these comps, but I'd LOVE to hear the rest! Also, I'm looking for any 1975-77 demos. Especially any Landslide outtakes/demos!
~Rhiya;)

Uncirculated Rumours

Hi Rhiya!

Uncirculated Rumours was a set of three vinyl records with rare Stevie material - -

A while back I bought two of the three, unfortunately I didn't acquire the third.

I thought I'd just post this so you can know which tracks you're looking for:

This is the one I don't have:

I have some of these tracks on mp3s, but there are a lot I don't have. I'm not even sure if I've heard all the songs on the third disc pictured. (esp. "Sara ~ piano demo"!)

Wow, that's uber cool! I can't believe that last one was 11 dollars! Where did you find your two? :P I want a turn table soooo badly!

vermicious knid 10-19-2008 09:41 PM

That's cool. I had never seen those bootlegs before. When were they made?

SmileAtYou 10-19-2008 09:56 PM

I bought my two as a set on Ebay... without even knowing a third existed... The description from the seller suggested the vinyls were distributed by a Stevie fan club back in the day, but I don't know specific details. Maybe someone here on the ledge does :wavey:

There are hidden tracks the records as well - Julia & Violet and Blue!

I wish I had the capability of transferring the records to cd! I have come across mp3s of some of the tracks over time. Which tracks were you looking for, Rhiya?

I wish I had some Landslide outtakes/demos! I have never found any... But I do have a lot of live 1975 & 1977 versions!

Linnen's and Things are having a huge close out sale.
They have Record---> Mp3 converters. I'm making my mom bring me this weekend to see if they have any more. I could use one. I think they may be like 150ish now...I have no idea.

Wow, I wish Stevie still had a fan club! I think like, half the world would join! Stupid Chris...

I'm not looking for any certain tracks, just what's available! Would you mind posting what you have, please?

It seems that anything White Album era is extremely rare. The only thing I've found is No Light and Forest of the Black Roses. What concerts do you have, I have a few to share too. :D

They're all different versions of Rhiannon, mostly live. I'll get it posted up ASAP, with some other demos and live shows I have.

Here is the one I use - http://www.ionaudio.com/ionttusb05

You can get it on eBay for cheaper, with free shipping - I paid around 80 for mine, and I am incredibly pleased with the quality of the rips I get from it.

Three mp3s made with this turntable, so you can have a listen and judge the quality:

"Whole Lotta Trouble" from the '89 12" Whole Lotta Trouble" single - http://skippystalin.com/stuff/wholelottatrouble.mp3

The Red Rocks performance of "Beauty and the Beast," b-side to the Whole Lotta Trouble single - http://skippystalin.com/stuff/batbredrocks.mp3

And here's The Rolling Stones' "Rocks Off," ripped from a first edition of the 1972 album "Exile on Main Street" - http://www.skippystalin.com/stuff/rocksoff.mp3
