Got my Soundstage DVD today
 

From PBS. Same as broadcast - no edge walk, no BATB.
Kinda po'd since I flew to Chicago for this and someone decided to cut out the fans during Edge. Hope the dvd on Amazon will have the missing pieces.
Only good note is the graphics are really cool while navigating through the dvd.

Oh, one more reason to be cranky is when PBS offered this they claim additional footage.

I've heard of one other person to receive their DVD... That's great! I'm glad PBS came through after all... and yeah, at the end of each broadcast, they said there would be bonus footage on the DVD not shown on TV!!... Bastards!

So what songs were performed that didn't make the DVD, aside from the edge walk?

You've got to be kidding me?! Those slimy bastards!! There better be something extra on this dvd, as they advertised, or they will be getting an earful from me, AND they can take their dvd and shove it up their ass! Seriously! :mad:

Most likely the bonus material will be on the CD and DVD release from Warner in December, with hopefully the Hurricane Katrina song on the CD to boot.

Yeah, along with her 9/11 song "We Got Back On The Plane", and a trailer of the Rhiannon movie.

;) I was actually hoping that maybe someone with a brain in her camp would suggest throwing one of her performances of "Face the Promise" on the CD. I would love to get a clean copy of that. Was Dreams on the PBS DVD? I see Seattle Mark mentioned no BATB, but he didn't mention Dreams. Well, if there really isn't any unaired footage I'd be po'ed. I'm glad I didn't order it. I can just watch my DVR of it for free and wait till December, or whenever.

Got mine yesterday too, through the PBS station. I haven't had time to watch it, but it's good to know we don't have to wait 'till December!

Actually, I wonder if someone is going to call PBS and ask a customer service rep about the missing additional footage that was mentioned at the end of the broadcast and see what they say.
If no one does that by the time I get mine, I just might call them and ask.

i think i am going to wait til the dvd comes out in the stores to see what songs they have listed. i am glad that everyone is getting there dvds and i am not happy that they didn't include dreams and beauty and the beast. but overall how is the dvd?

Good one....I just had to LOL at this comment....yeah also along with re-issues of all her solo cds with many extras and dvds and another boxed set with all the demos and outtakes and extended versions we don't have than theres the photo book that we are seeking....and a 'new' Stevie web site were we can buy stuff rare photos /posters/shirts etc.........I guess this is what is called "dreaming"..............LOL........:shrug::rolleyes:

I've emailed them and told them if there is no additional footage on the dvd they are shipping, to cancel my order. I'm not going to pay $25 for the PBS copy and then have to pay another $20 for the bonus tracks on the one that is released when it gets mass marketed. I don't think I'll ever order anything else from PBS again.

So PBS is packaging their own version of this show and then in December, a WB release drops, which may or may not be the same DVD? WTF?
This is super dumb.
