How is there a single version of Blue Letter?
The Rumours expanded CD has what it calls a single version of Blue Letter. How is that?
|
Not quite sure what you mean? It was released as a single and they are sometimes slightly different.
|
Okay, I didn't know it was released as a single. I guess it just flopped. I didn't know if maybe it was a b-side that also got special treatment.
|
Correct me if I'm wrong-- Blue Letter was initially slated as a single, and thus, was prepared/remixed (as was Over My Head, Say You Love Me and Rhiannon), but it was never formally released as such (Perhaps it was a single in some random country). It only emerged decades later as a bonus track on the deluxe Rumours album.

Its not on the Rumours reissue, it's on the fleetwood mac 75 reissue, the freaking album it was on. One person making that mistake is understandab;e but TWO in the same thread, unexceptable.

I'd love to see a GH with all the radio mixes of FL songs. Would make for a more unique collection then the rest that have come out!

Blue Letter remix, 1975 reissue
The main difference over the original is the outro, which trims the vocal and extends the guitar solo.
The full single remix for Say You Love Me also appears for the first time on CD. The Chain box set includes the edited remix. It's nice to have both versions on CD. |
