Lindsey Buckingham

Album: Gift of Screws (Reprise)

In stores: Sept. 16

Why we care: We're unabashed Buckingham fans here at Listen to This, so we're thrilled that the SoCal staple has been keeping us in hot product. First, 2006's quiet, eerie Under the Skin. Earlier this year, the frenzied Live at the Bass Performance Hall. And next month, his most crowd-pleasing solo album ever. Get ready, Fleetwood Mac lovers.

Why we like it: Buckingham has always been a studio savant. But now that he's (finally) in a happy personal place, he allows his voice and searing Golden State guitar to have some fiery fun. If it had less sweet and more snark, Love Runs Deeper's buzzing solos and candy chorus would have fit fine on Rumours. Yep, that good.

Reminds us of: "Holiday ro-ooo-ooo-ooo-ad . . ."

So, Love Runs Deeper is the one to get? Ok. Hopefully, he'll inject that fiery guitar they are talking about into the song live.

Is Love Runs Deeper also Deep Dense?

I don't think it is. I didn't listen to the snippets that were up on Youtube, but from what people said, I don't think they were the same song.
