Dumbest phone call ever!
 

I am a dog groomer and at the shop I work at we also do bording. So, I get this phone call today and this woman asks me, "what kind of animals do you board?" I told her the usual cats, dogs, with an occasional bird or rabbit. She then asks me "do you board dairy feeders?" I was like, what's a dairy feeder? (cow was in the back of my mind). She said, "cattle." :eek: Uh, gee yeah! we board cows, on the corner of two main roads in a residential area! :] I didn't really say that, but oh my... Certainly a phone call I had never dreamed of getting! :thumbsup:

Maybe she found you in the yellow pages and had never seen the actual location of your store.
Too bad you folks couldn't accomodate her. That probably would have been a large commission.

Yeah, but now that we think more about it, we think it might have been a prank call.
Today we got another weird call from someone who "couldn't remember where she dropped her dog off for grooming". We didn't have a yorkie in today named Coco and no one with her last name. When my boss told her it wasn't at our shop, she started frantically screaming "I lost my dog, I lost my dog"... And it was just way too fake.

If you live in Phoenix you might have been prank called by Clarissa Jenkins!!!

One of my authors made up a name in a book, "Anita Bath". :lol:

LOL! There was one REALLY weird one I got once at a company I used to work for. The guy was calling about insurance, but this was a plumbing outfit, and he kept talking about how nice our outgoing message sounded and how glad he was that it wasn't in ebonics. He kept making racial slurs and eventually started quoting from Mein Kampf and mentioned his membership in the local KKK. The guy sounded about 80 or so.

What a freak...:shocked:

i had an eeire call yesterday myself~

i am currently running an ad in our local paper for my daycare~ i have kids that i have watched all their little lives leaving for kindergarten~

so i get this call from massachusetts, i am in ne~ that's not so weird, i live by an airforce base & get alot of calls from around the country if they are moving here & need child care~ well this guy was telling my he has a 2 yr old daughter that he has custody of & he is moving here & would like to meet me in 2 weeks~ he kept telling me he was christain & that he had been leaving his daughter w/ her grandparents & that they had spoiled her too much & she has become a discipline problem & would i have a problem whipping her instead of giving time-outs~i told him not only is it against the law, but i am not a spanker~ & he kept pumping me asking me if we kept it between us would i whip her, that is the word he used too, whip~ i was totally freaked out, i checked the number & it's a payphone from mass~ i just said sorry i can't help you & hung up~

now i am freaking, was it just a freak call?, i get pervs calling all the time, was it a set up somehow to see if i spank in my daycare, but why out of mass?, or is there a poor little girl out there getting whipped?~ i just can't shake it~

It sounds like the kind of freaky calls my brother and I made as teenagers. We used to call rape hotlines and all sorts of things with lurid tales to freak people out when we were 15 and 13. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I think this was a prank. The fact that he used a payphone would suggest that.
