I just completed a Live Nation survey on Fleetwood Mac....I belong to Live Nation and get their concert update emails but I thought this was interesting. They asked questions about purchasing t-shirts, CD's, DVD's, would I purchase live concert footage, backstage footage with band participation, blogs, pay-per-view all kinds of stuff. Stuff was to purchase or download. For participating in the survey you get a chance to win tickets. Maybe they are really looking for feedback on what to sell....which is a good thing. Anyone else get this email?

Wow...

This means Live Nation is considering Fleetwood Mac for a "360 (degree) deal", involving recordings, merchandise, and touring revenues.

Similar e-mails went out to those who purchased tickets for U2, Madonna, Shakira, & Nickelback... all of which have (or are close) agreed with Live Nation for such deals.

This is a big deal.

For those of us who aren't familiar with the biz, could you explain what all thise means, and why it's a big deal? Thanks!
