Go Your Own Way played on CBS' Swingtown.
Go Your Own Way was played during tonights episode of CBS' new show Swingtown. Of course I didn't see the show myself...:D

Is that the retro show - taking place in the 70's?

A review of the show mentioned a historical discrepancy:
http://www.redorbit.com/news/enterta...ies/index.html Ah, but they made a bit of a mistake, verisimilitude-wise: Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way" was not released as a single until late December of 1976; so it wouldn't have been playing at an Independence Day barbecue that same year. But if that's a show's biggest misstep, it's doing pretty well. |
I watched (and love) this show...It's funny, because right before they played GYOW, I thought, "I wonder if they secured the rights to any FM songs..." Then I thought, "Wait a minute, Rumours didn't come out until Feb. of '77."

ooh! I wanted to catch this show, but I missed it. Glad to hear you like the show, Livia! Nice to have FM in there, even if it isn't historically correct. It's only a few months off, no big deal, right? LOL Maybe the people at the BBQ knew someone at Warner Bros and got an advance unfinished bootleg of it?

You can watch it on cbs.com.
I wish I hadn't erased it so quickly, I wouldn't mind seeing that first episode again. On TV, I don't like watching TV shows on my computer. |
I also noticed it was a little early for GYOW to be playing in the summer of '76, though I didn't know the exact date it was released. I guess this show has it's own take on GYOW?
