A few months ago, I posted a short clip of Pamala's Stanley's cover of Rhiannon in the Remix thread.

Here is the full 6-minute version from her greatest hits CD, "Coming Out of Hiding: The Sequel."

According to the notes, this version of Rhiannon is different than the one featured in the clip. Rhiannon is the first track on the CD, which is odd for a greatest hits CD, especially when her biggest hit is Coming Out of Hiding.

Her cover of Heart's If Looks Could Kill was her last charting hit. It reached #20 on the Billboard dance chart in 1986. The liner notes states that this mix is more rock oriented than the Hi-NRG version released in 1986.

I think both tracks are hideous, but I was curious to hear them and thought some of you might be curious as well.

I was in Rehoboth Beach two years ago, and we went into this restaurant for drinks after the beach...In walks this woman looking...very much ... um ...like she was walking out of an early 80s 'meat market' kind of place .... she was all decked out in a black poly blend wrap around dress and rhinestone bedecked strappy sandals and a curly perm...you get the picture...anyway, we were sort of taken aback (remember, we just stopped in after the beach...considerably less 'well dressed' :D ... So eventually she walks up to the stage (really just a corner of the bar) and begins to sing! After some standards and showtunes (and really, I must say, her voice was quite spectacular) she said "I did manage to have a pretty big hit with this one ..." She asked if anyone remembered "Coming Out Of Hiding" and I did...she seemed quite tickled, and after performing it, came over to me we talked a bit (she was so nice) and somehow Stevie came up...she opened her next set with Rhiannon and dedicated it to me...ok, so it wasn't the best version ever, but still...it was my very own "Landslide" moment...:blob1: haha! I did end up buying her greatest hits cd, and while I don't care for either of her Stevie/Heart covers, (and...SSSH! I never liked COOH at all) there are some decent disco songs on there....

Ok, pardon my rambling...:)
