"Get Like You Used To Be"

On the old Mac newsgroup on Usenet, back in the late '90s, there was a guy named Runnamok (JJ) who used to post. He was the only guy I ever knew who saw Fleetwood Mac in May 1975. He saw the gig in Dallas on May 18, three days after the first show. I could swear JJ once posted the set list, but I couldn't find it searching the archive. All I could find was:

Cool info..

Well what I'm sure is that they didn't start with Peacekeeper..:lol:

I'm not sure what was first, but I think these are 2 set lists from May of 75.

Station Man/Spare Me A Little/Rhiannon/Landslide/Hypnotized/I'm So Afraid/World Turning/Don't Let Me Down Again

Station Man/Spare Me A Little/Don't Give Up/Landslide/Over My Head/So Afraid/Don't Ask Me/Creepin/World Turnin/Blue Letter/Hypnotized

It was most likely Get Like You Used to Be, which opened a lot of their shows between 1974-75

If those are from bootleg recordings, they obviously aren't the complete sets; they never OPENED with "Station Man"...it was traditionally the SECOND song of the set. At the time, they usually opened with "Get Like You Used To Be" (Christine's song from her Chicken Shack days)

In that second list, "Don't Give Up" must be "Why", "Don't Ask Me" is obviously "Oh Well" and "Creepin" is "Green Manalishi".

The basic set of those times:

Get Like You Used To Be
Station Man
Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Rhiannon
Oh Well
Why
Landslide
Over My Head
I'm So Afraid
Green Manalishi
World Turning
Blue Letter

encore:
Don't Let Me Down Again
Hypnotized

Depending on the night, they'd slip in a song or two from the following:

Bare Trees
Sentimental Lady
Jewel Eyed Judy
Tell Me All The Things You Do
Black Magic Woman
Sunny Side Of Heaven
Homeward Bound

among a few others, as well...these are the ones I saw them do.

And, if they were on the bill as an opening act, and still managed to get an encore, they would play Rattlesnake Shake instead of "Don't Let Me Down Again" & "Hypnotized".

I simply don't believe it! Lindsey singing "Bare Trees" and "Sentimental Lady" would just be fantastic... but I've never seen/heard a recording of it. It's almost too good to be true.
