Brown

Is the color of my true love's hair. And now, apparently, The Ledge.

I like the logo - I find the brown text on the forum home page hard to read though...

I don't like change. :distress:

I agree, it is hard for me to read the front page. Maybe it is not complete.

Sans serif fonts might help.

If they're going to stick with this theme at least switch the colors for 'links' and 'visited links'. This makes it hard to read indeed. The font should be changed as well.

i like the brown, but agree that the forum links need to be a darker color. maybe the same color brown? and if they are scrolled upon, they could be lighter?

It has the pleasingly antiquated look of a William Morris design -- only without the intertwining vines & stems.

Michelle, I like it! I really like it!

It reminds me a little of the sepia tones in Birth of a Nation.

Oh my goodness yes! Very Billy Bitzer-cum-Matthew Brady!

It also has a little of that Wonka Factory chocolate river thing going on!

Truthfully, Michelle, I love the landing page now, & the links are shaping up to be intuitive & navigable.

Maybe it could open with an iris shot.

I miss those effects - so pioneering then and sadly so rarely used now, save for Scorcese and then mostly in "Age of Innocence," whichI love for, inter alia, that.

Who is the resident oompa lumpa? If Bobo were here, I suggest either the titular aspect or, in a way, Veruca Salt.

You likely would be Roald Dahl and I Violet Beauregarde, if for nothing else than the literal translation on the surname

^^ I agree w/ the color comments about the links.

I already have issues reading on computer screens, and now these link colors dont help.

on a side note-i really like the thing at the top of the page w/ the 'GH' logo :D

tough ****. it's set in stone

my problem is, i just hate change. I'll get used to it (provided i can read it, which is hard since i just had lasik), it'll just take some time.

and i like that too-makes it look snazzy.

did i just say snazzy? f*ck.

I do like the new background, although I'm not crazy about the gold colored lettering at all. I also like the suggestion to use a san serif font.

Oh, and I don't think the periwinkle background of the messages is really jibing with the brown. Can this be changed to another color? My recommendation would be chartreuse!

I really like it!! To me, it's classy and different. I'm not one too fond of changes either, but I do think this one is a good one!! It gives the Ledge some polish.. IMO.
