I really want to see it but no-one I know does. Should I go see it on my own?

yes, if you can stomach shaky cameras, tension and suspense.

I've seen where some theaters post warnings outside for the shaky camera effects...just fyi.

Ok. Better to see it on a big screen you think?

I wanted to see it, but then two of my co-workers said that it was all about a giant bunny. I mean, is this true? None of the reviews really say anything so i dont know is it a giant bunny!? If so, why did they not release in April, you know, call it a "holliday movie":woohoo:

I saw it on opening day! I loved it! I don't want to give much away for those who haven't seen it, but I kept saying to my friend in the theater "Beth would be dead meat because my ass would be getting out of town"! Did you see what people are saying happens in the background at the final scene when they are at Coney Island? I read about it after I saw the movie, but I didn't see it. I also didn't hear the whisper at the end of the credits, but I did hear it later on the web.

I heard that! I didn't see the stuff in the background either, but I guess that depends on which version of the monster's origin you subscribe to. so far, I've heard 2 different ones. I stayed all through til the credits started rolling thinking something else would happen but when the credits rolled I thought it was over so I left; but, like you, heard the radio thing on youtube.

would you like to see a sequel?

I think I would, but it depends on how it was done. Remember The Blair Witch Project? The filming style was similar to Cloverfield, but then in the sequel they filmed it like a normal movie. If they do a sequel, I hope it keeps the same single camera concept (Rob is going to have to find a video camera battery somewhere though!) I hope that when the DVD comes out they include footage from all the viral web sites as bonus features!

^^^
from what I've heard, the sequels (if any are made) will be the videos of other people's circumstances of the incident. to show different stories and perspectives.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw it and liked it. All I could think about was I so would go gete my ex in that crashed AOL/Time Warner tower and they would get me -- starcrossed lovers indeed. Anyone else, though, would be left waaaayyyy behind

As for the movie - I liked it, but would have liked a little more explanation and a little less Aliens popping out of the chest.

I hoped not to have to see more aliens popping out of the chests honestly (basically because I'm a coward with these kind of movies), but it seems I'll have another dose of them tomorrow. Oh well.

SPOILER!!!

actually, from what I have found out, it's not aliens popping out. the bite from the little monster causes excess gas and body fluids causing the body to explode. rather gross, I know, but handled well in the movie, imo. the movie wasn't gory to me at all...it was all nicely done.

Yea - I kind of thought that might be it, but the way they hauled her into that tent and then it looked like something came out with the pop. It was very hard to see though.

Also, did you think that that head in the street was way too small to be the head of the Statute of Liberty? People walk in the crown and it looked like it came from the Woolworth building

I thought so and a lot of people are saying that, but I read that it's the exact proportions of the head so I don't know...I've never been to the SOL so I can't say for sure...

My teenage son and I enjoyed every minute of the movie. I get motion sickness but we sat on the back row and it never bothered me. It was suspenseful and not too gory. I am happy to report no bunnies! I thought the party scene at the beginning was very real. I would recommend this to anyone who's just looking for a good monster movie.
