Stevie at the Super Bowl?

What does everyone think the chances are that Stevie will appear at half-time with Tom Petty to do SDMHA? And maybe sing back up on DCAHNM?

Wouldn't you just FREAK to see her on the MOST WATCHED TV SHOW OF THE YEAR?

Any chance?

Maybe?

Miracle?

Stevie at SuperBowl

Doubt that she will show up. :sorry:I'm just wondering if Petty will do a warm-up gig in Phoenix a day or so before. That seems more likely than Stevie showing up at the Super Bowl. But that's my two cents. Aren't you glad ya asked?:xoxo:

Super Bowl Surprise?

New Tour dates
The following tour dates have been added for 2008:

Friday, February 1 - Fantasy Springs Resort & Casino / Indio, CA

Saturday, February 2 - Honda Center / Anaheim, CA

Warm ups???????????????

My 2 cents - sorry if I sound like Debbie Downer, just trying to be realistic:

The Heartbreakers are rehearsing their obligatory halftime medley, either with or without Stevie.

Stevie's 2 Feb. dates have nothing to do with the Super Bowl (why would her band need to "warm up?"), and everything to do with $$. Those 2 dates are also preventing her from being in Phoenix during the final halftime show rehearsals at the stadium.

I don't see her showing up at the Super Bowl after having 2 back-to-back gigs of her own and then having to travel to Phoenix and perform the next day. However, given her love for Tom Petty, I suppose anything's possible. Especially if she's just gonna do one song or sing back-up. All she'd have to do is show up, they explain to her how the stage is set up, and the other logistic things, she comes up on a riser from below the stage - with her bedazzled mike stand - and the crowd goes wild.

Wouldn't she want to get her levels set with a soundcheck? This is a woman, after all, who keeps fiddling with her ear monitor all through an actual performance.

Absolutely. And I'd chalk that up under "reasons why she will not be there." The sound mix at Super Bowl performances is always sh*tty anyway.

I want Cher to come back and sing the national anthem again...:wavey:

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will NOT do a medley.
And I think it's likely she shows.

These are just my predictions...

Stevie Super Bowl

I had a dream that she canceled her show at the Fantasy Springs Casino to play the SuperBowl last night. This thread is giving me nightmares. Yipes!

All kidding aside, I can't see it happening, as she will essentially be upstaging Petty if she does. It's one thing to hang out on tour with him, it's another to "share" the SuperBowl Spotlight. Besides, it would also seem like she was riding his coat-tails in a desperate measure to get on "The Show." Sure she played at last year's SuperBowl, but she played the pre-game show-a different ball-game, entirely. But, again that's my two-cents worth!:wavey:
