Stevie to Rock SoCal In February-2 dates!

Stevie is going to play the Fantasy Springs Resort in Indio, CA on Feb 1, 2008-and a benefit concert for Cal State Fullerton at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Feb. 2, 2008.:blob1:

Here are the links:
Fantasy Springs-tickets went on sale today:11/30-still good seats. I'd advise calling the box office as they can put you in the seat you want. Hard to get seats in the middle section as that is reserved for tribal members.

Honda Center: Tickets have been on sale for a couple weeks but this event wasn't really publicized so you may/may not still get good seats for a decent price. Won't know your seat until they send them out in Jan unfortunately. The floor is very expensive and people dress in black-tie. It's table seating and includes dinner. Cheapest seat is $600. The rest of the arena is regular concert seating starting at $25 for Cal State Fullerton students. Loge/Plaza VIP seating starts next to the stage and for is $110. Can't beat that. I just happened to find it by accident.

Good Luck!:]

Woo-hoo this is fantastic news.

Thanks for posting. When you say Indio, I have no idea where it is, but it sounds like mountains are involved. So, no thank you. But Anaheim is something I can do in a heartbeat. Wonderful news:blob1:.

Indio is about a half an hour east of Palm Springs. Straight shot on the 10 Freeway. I saw Don Henley there last Feb. Nice venue. Can take loads of pictures and they let you go to the stage. Try for an inside aisle seat.

Indio is a rundown little farming town. It's the perfect backdrop for a Pete Dexter novel. But adjacent to Indio is Palm Desert, where Dame Edna has been known to appear at the McCallum Theater.

woo hoo!! We got front row for Indio at only $ 100!!! :]

That's What I'm Talking About!!!!!:lol::]

You'll have a great time. If you're driving the night of, make sure you get there early as parking will back up onto the freeway and you could be late. Happened to me for Henley. Then you have to park in a field. Close to the freeway but they only have a two lane black top access road and that is where the trouble starts.

Have a rockin' good time.:]

F**K!!

See what happens if I don't check the Ledge EVERY day! And people accuse me of being neurotic when it comes to Stevie.

Well, I've been checking all day and have pulled nothing better than 8th row on the side. I called too. They weren't optimistic about better seats coming up later either. So those of you who got the good seats, congrats! I'm hoping she will add more So Cal dates. I have a feeling these 2 dates are the beginning of a lot more. We'll see.

I forgot to put some sort of a sarcastic smiley at the end of that sentence. Her set-list choices are pretty predictable by this juncture in her career. What I would love to see (and we'll never get this, of course) is some sort of an intimate evening with Stevie. Not a lot of players, maybe Waddy on acoustic, Russ, someone on keys, The Ladies...and Stevie. On a stool. The set could be decorated like an 'arts & crafts' or 'art noveau' style living room, with beautiful wood and rugs, maybe some potted palms.

And in this intimate evening, Stevie would select material way way off the beaten path, some of it never recorded, some of it recorded but never used, some of it just works in progress. This type of show would be the perfect showcase for the Stevie we have now with the lower growly register, and she wouldn't have to worry about 'dancing' or 'twirls'. Plus some relaxed banter, and a few stories. That would be just...awesome.

...and then I wake up.

I have seriously had this dream. In my dream there are heavy red velvet curtains, purple couches, and people are just laying around on the floor chatting. Then Stevie comes out and starts playing all my favorites!!! At the end of a few songs, she joins us on the couch for a gab session!

I would die a very happy Stevie fan if this ever happened. More intimate, more artsy, kind of back to the hippy trippy gypsy we all know she is. And since this is a dream, we all can bring in cameras and cam corders, cause she wants this evening to be recorded.
