I think maybe the camera man drowned and then froze to death!

( It was VERY cold and wet that day - the first 5 or 6 rows in front of the stage were FLOODED! Something unusual was going on with the weather - I'm still not quite sure what happened. )

It was filmed. There is footage of it on Youtube. The guys leaves his email. Search Stevie Nicks - Stand Back. There will be about 6 pages, but you will come across it.

I was in the 3rd row at that show. We weren't allowed down to the seats for Chris Isaac's perfomance at all.

When Stevie came on, I rolled up my pants to my knees and carried my niece bare-feet, waiding through about 1.5 feet of water to the seats. It was almost a Woodstock-esque evening.

I had American Express dispute Ticketmaster and the venue for what I spent on the tickets. After all, we were not allowed in the premium seats for over 1/2 of the show and did not have dry seats for Stevie's set. The only consolation was that Stevie kissed my niece, who I sat on the edge of the stage.

The dispute response from American Express (after their fight with Ticketmaster and the venue) was that the venue said there were some "puddles" here and there and that they didn't affect the attendance in the venue or the production of the show. Ticketmaster rode on the wave of that response and said their ticket purchase disclaimer covers them for that.

If that was a puddle, I'd would hate to see a flood.

Yeah I was gonna say - - - PUDDLES!?

Unfortunately I didn't see it, but I think that must have been a cute moment when Stevie kissed your niece. Was that during the Edge walk?

Anyway I'm still puzzled about exactly what happened that night - what was going on with the weather that caused it to be so cold in June???

By the way I really admired Waddy for still doing the intro. to Edge picture perfect, despite the cold. I think it must have been BRUTAL for everyone up on stage.

It was down right cold. I was in the 10th row. Even though it was
June it did not feel like it. It was 44 degrees out. No one was dressed
for that kind of weather. The band, Stevie and the crowd was
freezing. Mother nature wanted it to be cold and so be it, it was.
But Stevie gave her everything because she knew what we were
feeling.....Cold.
I have never been to as cold a concert as that one.
But I had a ball. My friend was sick for three weeks after that and
I had a chill for two days after the concert but it still was well worth
it.

^^ Word of advice: anytime you go to a Jones Beach show, dress in many layers. I've been to shows where it was in the 80's with high humidity during the day and by show time it's freezing- but only in there. Think it has something to do with the inlet and ocean cross breeze.
