"VENGANCE IS MINE!!!" Said the Turkey

So you ever wonder what would happen to us for killing and eating all those delicious thanksgiving turkeys over the years? Well, yours truly was the unfortunate recipient of some some payback today in the form of a broken finger! To explain: I was at work today at Rainbow Foods(a local grocery store chain in the Twin Cities) and I was ringing up this 20 pound "Little" Birdie and as I was picking the packaging up of the scanner with my right hand it slipped out and landed right on the middle finger of my left hand.! Needless to say I was howling in pain, and they wrapped it up in a splint and after I filled out an incident report I went to the ER to have it checked out. Turns out the Knuckle right below the fingernail on the middle finger of my left hand was broken. So I'll have to have a splint on my hand for about 3 weeks or so. Who knew that eating all that rurkey over the years would come back to bite me like this!

Aww. sorry to hear about this David! I sure hope your finger heals soon, and you feel better! Something similar happened to me, where I work, as I work at a Medical "Research" facility- and we have all sorts of lab and machine shop stuff going on 24/7, and one of the guys was in the lab and killed his middle finger as well, and had to be taken to the ER! I can hear his "yell" as clear as day over here, bless his heart. Hope you feel better soon!!

{{hugs}},

Arlene

Actually, you're correct. They make fun of me endlessly for my Fleetwood Mac obsession, especially all the bumper stickers I have on my car.

Dave, that is one wild occurrence.

I'd be afraid to injure my fingers in any way, lest my piano playing suffer. It's bad enough as it is. With an injury, it would sound truly awful.
