The Dealer

Somehow I could get my Sorcerer_NL account logged in, so I use this one instead.

Anyway, I'm collecting Stevie since 1987 and have tons of tapes in my closet. Since a few years I'm downloading and downloading. But, several crashes (no backups) later I decided to put them all in my Ipod mini....

..You guessed it right...Ipod crashed as well. Now, I'm looking for my fav. Stevie demo/outtake The Dealer..I had a bunch of versions and I want them back..can anyone upload their Dealers somewhere for my downloading pleasure????????

Any requests in return, maybe I have it digitally somewhere on my harddrives...

The Dealer is one of my favorites too. Below are the links to some of the demos/outtakes I have of it. There well may be some duplication, so I apologize in advance for that.

I've been looking for a version of Castaway where she starts with the lines "Standing alone, watching the water". I have one, but the sound is terrible and I'm certain I've heard a better version of it. Should you happen to have that in your collection, I'd be grateful to get a copy.

Thanks and enjoy The Dealer!

Julie

I downloaded the first batch of ZIP files. I hear Benmont on B3, Stan Lynch on drums & Mike Campbell on guitar, so I think it's safe to say that the Heartbreakers are backing Stevie on that batch. Would you agree?

Isn't there an old "Dealer" with Stevie playing Christine's CP-30 in the Village Recorder? Probably done during the year or year-and-a-half recording of Tusk. Kind of sounds like Mick on drums on that one.

Same here......The dealer is definitely my fave-and I love all the versions. I think I have them all now. I have only been around these sites fpr a coupe years. I downloaded but didn't listen to demos-I thought all I really wanted were live shows. About 6 months ago, I started listening-to my surprise, I love demos now-some of the songs I like better than the released versions-it's kinda like getting to know her music all over again.

Yep. I remember it on a collection with the bluesy version of BATB.
