vengeance is MINE!!!

first, a bit of history.

it all started last year when i went to the lindsey concert in nashville. Great concert, but next day on my way home we ran into a little trouble. Once we crossed over the kentucky state line, we decided to stop at the rest area. well. for some stupid effing reason, we started playing out in the fields of kentucky with buckeye nuts. I got hit in the temple...pain erupted (I think there might have even been some internal bleeding and moderate swelling  ) and that was that. Next day i was still feeling dizzy, headache, jumbled thoughts so I went to the ER and discovered I had a concussion. from a buckeye. yep. that's right.

So fastforward. today. I just got back from visiting my grandparents in florida. My plane landed in nashville and I was set. Decided it might be a good idea to go back to the scene of the crime one year later. it was difficult, but I somehow managed to pull myself together.

Kentucky rest area:

the creator of all things evil-the buckeye's mother.

you can see them there, getting ready to strike like a cat in the night

the culprit and ring leader of their "group". he looks all innocent, but beware.

for stew

look at them, congregating, ready to make their move. little buckeye gansters they are. it was me against them.

but oooohhh...look!!! one year later and I have conquered them and their evil ways!!! I rejoiced at the sound of my tire going "crunch" mwahahahahahahah....ahahahahahha....

so again. the moral to the story is: "don't f*cky with 'tucky!" teehee

oh.

my god.

that's all i have to say

ok - great story and all . . . but

bucky say "what the f*cky?",
" 'tucky's eye mistakes a buckeye?"

ok - enough of that - i am confusing myself.

so are you sure those are buckeyes?
i don't wanna come off as some expert or anything, but that don't look like a buckeye to me. and i grew up surrounded by the little suckers. {yes i too have been attacked but prefer not to take it up in public, the scars are too fresh :o}

maybe there are many kind of buckeyes and your kind are just weird?

yours look more like hazelnuts or acorns without their hats.:xoxo:

What I loved about this story, and which you appear to have forgotten to add here  was how you drove to a quiet spot to seek out your revenge, so that no-one else would see you destroying buckeyes in a bizarre way, or hear your cackling   :xoxo:

tbh, i really don't know. I know that buckeyes tend to look more rich in color, and the outside is more of a redish color, but it's a buckeye for this story, k?

 j/k. I really don't know what it is. That's just what someone said at the area a year ago and I stuck with it. I'm not a nut connoisseur :p

and please, tell us your story. i'm intrigued

Those are not buckeyes! These are buckeyes:

I think you'll find that those are called Horse Chestnuts and have had that name in the UK since before Columbus got in his boat to discover you lot:laugh:! So HorseChestnuts is what we should call them imo.

carrie721 10-16-2007 10:17 AM

^ horse chestnuts are different from buckeyes, actually, so :p
