Movie with animated rabbits getting killed

This may sound weird. When I was a kid I remember seeing a live action movie that included an animated segment. A bunch of happy cartoon bunnies were playing, and all the sudden they got gunned down.

It was such a strange thing to see as a child that it stuck with me. What the hell was that movie, though? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

It sounds like it's the movie "One Crazy Summer" with John Cusack and Demi Moore. There were a few animated scenes in that movie, and I do remember one where some bunnies got gunned down.

HA! At first I was thinking Watership Down...but I dont think there are any guns in that film. Maybe in the AL-KAY-duh (my best George W) version that they show to them young al-kay-de-uns.
