A new Stevie Nicks album??? Here's some news I found

saw this posted today on a forum at Seven Wonders (website) I hope it's true!
Upcoming New Album
Stevie is currently working with several different producers on a new solo album, to be released on Reprise Records. She has decided to combine some unreleased rarities ("The Dealer" and "Space Needle" are rumoured to be a part of this new release), as well as songs written over the last ten years for this new album. Her ode to New Orleans and its suffering from Hurricane Katrina (song title not yet revealed) is expected to be included with a full orchestra. Several tracks from her aborted Dallas Austin produced sessions from Trouble In Shangri-La are being included in the possible album track listing ("Butterflies", "Devastation" and "This Is The Last Song"), with Jimmy Iovine coming back to the boards away from his helm at Interscope records to add some well needed rock-n-roll touches. John Shanks is also on board to produce, after the success of "Planets of the Universe" and his produced title track from Stevie's last solo release.

Stevie plans to release her new solo album in May of 2008 with a full tour to follow, including dates in Europe and, possibly, Australia.

I REALLY hope this is true...talk about a dream album!

At this point I'll look forward to almost any solo album from her, but if I could pick there'd be no Space Needle on it. (I'm in the minority on that, I know.) About time The Dealer saw the light of day, not to mention all those Dallas Austin recordings that somehow never leaked (that I'm aware of). And I'd be thrilled to have Jimmy Iovine do music with her again.

All the same, I'll be surprised if this is all more than rumor. I cannot imagine her having an album out as soon as May. Even given that there are always delays on her albums, she never floats out a tentative date of only a few months away.

My guess is that she puts out some songs for movie soundtracks, even to test the waters, before she ever considers releasing a full album again.

Well, if this were true than that is freaking amazing, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Nice try but whoever wrote that went too far with it. When you write up a fake news item you can only take it so far, if you throw in too many "wish list" items (as this one did) you cross the line. Basically this post is the "perfect storm" of scenarios. Item is 100% fake for so many reasons.
