Did Stevie Really Play Keyboards on The Album Say You Will?

I was just wondering this. In the album booklet it says she does. Which songs does she do it on and such. Which part is hers? I really don't hear it. Anyway, just wondering.

Im guessing the ones Chris didnt play keyboards on
its obv not Red Rover or Say Goodbye

Chris did
Steal Your Heart Away
Bleed To Love Her

maybe on Silver Girl?

Since the keyboards are generally sparse on the entire album, I wouldn't be surprised if she did all of the ones not done by Christine or some session musician. You can tell if she's done it usually because her compositions are fairly simple.

Running Through The Garden and Silver Girl.

I know in the DR doc she's seen playing Keyboards during Goodbye Baby, although that may have been just for the work in progress?

Didn't John play some keyboards as well?

I guess she does if the album says she does. I can't personally hear because there's so much junk all over the place. On her last solo album, I can hear exactly what she's doing on a keyboard on I think the song Love Changes. On the verses, the chord changes every bar, & that's what Stevie is doing. Plays a chord at the top of a measure, & then plays the 2nd chord at the top of the following measure, & then back to the 1st chord etc. etc. (Think Dreams on the Making of Rumours video.)

90% of Stevie's songs are written with the same F, G, Am chord progression.

One of Stevie's most atypical chord progressions is The Dealer. Musically, that's probably one of the weirdest (for her) things she ever wrote. The verses are all suspended chords on the tonic of F -- so she starts the song on the 4th (Bb) & then keeps it hanging/suspended with an inverted F & A bass & a 2nd (Gm7), then back up to the 4th again. It doesn't seem to resolve until the bridge. Sorry about the technospeak, but the point is it's all very weird for Stevie. Maybe it's someone else's chords.

Yeah, like 24 Karot Gold, Sara, Sable on Blonde, and Doing the Best That I Can...

Then again, I'm defending someone whose first song was "I've Loved and I've Lost and I'm Sad But Not Blue" and who once described in intricate detail the behavior of a ghost that had visited her, so I don't have a whole lot of ground to stand on here.

:woohoo:

 Honestly, if you listen to her playing the music for any of the above songs (excluding 24 Karot because I've never heard it) the way she plays is very, very simple. No pretty little solo's or anything like that. If you compare sheet music to You Make Loving Fun and sheet music to Sara, you'll see the difference immediately.
