Carol Anne talks about how Iovine was around during the recording of Mirage, wonder if he had any imput into the production of this song.

No way. In fact, I was really surprised to find out that Jimmy had visited Stevie in France. It was one thing for Jimmy to be there as a guest but at that point in the band's relationship, I cannot see Lindsey letting anyone outside the band let alone another producer give their input on the songs and take it seriously. I'm still shocked by the anecdote in CA's book that has her and Carol driving back to LB's house in one car and Iovine in Lindsey in the other. I would've killed to be a fly on the wall.

CA must have left out alot regarding that night. I know that Iovine had worked on Gypsy when it was being considered for Bella Donna and I can see them all sitting around doing coke smaoking pot and playing around with music and Iovine informally adding his 2 cents worth.

I can also see your point of L not letting anyone into the ineer circle to meddle with songs.
