Tori Amos Tour - Manchester!!

I was there

It was amazing. The most amazing thing I have seen in my life. I'm getting Tori withdrawal symptoms now :(

MUST. LISTEN. TO. TORI!

I can not wait for her to come to the US. I hope she doesn't use up all her mojo overseas.

I doubt it. She's been pulling all sorts of tracks out of the wood. Here is the setlist for manchester:

Bouncing Off Clouds
Little Earthquakes
Juárez
Rattlesnakes
Beauty of Speed
Roosterspur Bridge
Professional Widow
Big Wheel
Crucify
Siren
Cornflake Girl
Bells For Her
Parasol
Merman
Silent All These Years
Over The Rainbow
Amber Waves
Spark
Code Red

First Encore:

Precious Things
Secret Spell

Second Encore:

God
Hey Jupiter

she really was amazing! Some vids are up on YouTube of it. Just search for "Tori Amos Manchester" lol.

as long as this doesn't go anywhere, I'm cool.

Guessing you're not a Siren fan. I actually loved it live. Studio version is ok but live it was amazing!

no, I'm saying that's the main one I don't want out of the setlist.

ahhhhh gotcha. I have fallen in love with Roosterspur Bridge and would've preferred "Cooling" over "Merman" but never mind. Juarez was awesome. really funky and dark. Big Wheel was sorta predictable but fun. Hey Jupiter was AMAZING! The whole night was just totally stunning! Have u seen her before Jaz?

JazmenFlowers 07-11-2007 05:25 PM

I love Juarez.

no, I've never seen her. she is in my 4 left to see (that I love and never seen live) before I die, along with Imogen Heap, Christina Aguilera and Sarah Brightman.

Imogen Heap yeh!
Christina Aguilera.....NO!
Sarah who? :sorry:

woooo! a Juarez fan! I love To Venus And Back but it seems to take a beating. She hasn't beaten Choirgirl IMO.

I love TVAB. I really think it just got lost in the 2nd disc.

A friend wants me to go & see Tori with her this fall. Looks like the setlist is a good mix, I was worried that it would be all new material (I much prefer her older stuff.)

JazmenFlowers 08-08-2007 03:11 PM

I'm going too - around Thanksgiving! :blob1:

like I said, as long as she plays Siren, I'm happy.

GardenStateGirlie 08-08-2007 03:15 PM

unfortunately, i don't think i'm going to get to see her this time which bums me out. i haven't caught a tori show since '98 :(

DeadliestPoison 08-08-2007 03:23 PM

It'll be a little tough to make it, but I'm planning on seeing her when she's in Indiana this November.

EDIT: Riss, I would have loved to've seen her in 98.

the '98 tour was amaaaaazing. mind you, i hated alanis and they toured together (with alanis as the headliner). however, the setlist was badass and she was just -- unbelievable. i think i stood there in awe for most of the show.
