Celine's show ending--possible new home for stevie?
 

I just learned Celine's show at Caesars is ending this year. Do you think Stevie will take any time there now?

Bette Midler has already signed to take her place for X ammount of years.

woo hoo!!!! I am such a Bette freak!!!!!! Course, she will have dates off every so often during each year she's there (she signed a contract for 3 years)...I HOPE Stevie goes back there!!!!! :] :] :D

No. I definitely would not want her do do that either. Cher is supposedly filling in with Elton for Bette's vacations.

I would swear that it was actually Cher that got the gig.

But either way, I think it's filled, yeah. I would bet any amount of money that the behind-the-scenes competition for this show was intense, and I strongly suspect that Stevie (or at least her people) were right there in the middle of the frey.

Very honestly, I think that Stevie wanted this gig in the WORST way. It's "easy money" - LOTS of it - for little work (comparatively); it's FUN; and it's near home but in an exciting city.

i would assume maybe the living in Vegas part may not suit Stevie also? hummmm.....Bette is confirmed on her website as well as Caesars....tickets are already on sale!!! :]

i think it will be bette midler and cher that will be taking over for celine.
