Was this new at the time or "tampered" with?

I read somewhere that the TISL photo where Stevie is seated (the one on the back of the album artwork booklet) was not new at the time, but was a morphed photo where her face as it was in 2001 was added to the older photo that was taken years before. I don't know if that made any sense lol...but has anyone heard that about this particular photo?

No I've never heard that before, but I did hear something so very similar about the cover of Crystal Visions. Somebody here was certain they morphed a current face shot with another pic from the photo session with the green beret.

It was the cover shot that people were speculating, and sure of, that the photo in the back was current Stevie, or morphed... and the one in the front was the older one.... This was all based on looking at a photo about the size of the one that's in your sig.

I have always loved that shot. But I don't know about the rumour. I do think however that it was airbrushed on some of them becuase Stevie looks too tiny in some of those shots:nod:

Eh, I never thought it looked doctored. I also never read anywhere that it was. I love that photo too....actually I love most of the TISL photos, especially the wavy hair ones.

Nowadays it is very easy to cinch a waist in Photoshop. You can actually pretty much do anything and make it look real. But I think that photo is mostly real and just the one 2001 Stevie.

^It's mostly evident in the arms. The waist doesn't look that bad, though it's a little tucked in.

I'm pretty sure all they did to that photo of her in black is some minimal work on her jowels and neck which unfortunately reshapes her face significantly.

the TISL pix has always looked weird to me...like her head was too big...too flat...face too long...too...something...can't quite put my finger on it

I agree...Stevie was really small when she was promoting TISL. She wore that Richard Tyler red outfit from the Dance in Feb. 2000........so her waist was pretty slim. I think her face looks like it is the most photoshopped in the black dress/yoga picture. Her waist and arms look normal but her face and neck do not.
