welcome to the room...demo?

Hellow everyone. A little while back a Ledgie mentioned hearing the demo for "Welcome to the Room...Sara" and thinking it was far superior to the arrangment used on TITN. I was wondering if someone had an MP3 of this that he or she is willing to share. Don't want to be pushy...but if you feel like sharing it, I'd love to hear it.

Here's a demo that I have of it. It doesn't sound too dissimilar to me. Not sure if this is the one that was spoken about or not. Anyway, here it is:

Thanks for posting. I love this song:nod:

Well, if this was the base for how it ended up on Tango, kudos to the band. What a pile of sh*t this is! Not that the endresult is so much better...the song stays a spunkless, driveless misshapen animal. Oh, Ms Nicks really had some bad years.....she could have done so much better.

yeah, i'm just gonna go ahead, be nice, and call it horrid.

i really don't care for stevie's voice after "the change". i wish it would have stayed like BN, FM, and Rumours forever. The goat vibrato is grating.. particularly in the 80s, and this just demonstrates it even more.

Ditto!

Not a massive fan of this song. I'll play it if I'm playing the whole album but other than that I'd never play it, so I don't need this demo since it's even worse IMO.

Thanks for uploading it anyway, there was always a chance it could have been better.

well, I sound a little harsh, sorry for that, but since I don't like the song I was even more shocked by this demo. It really lacks musicality imo. I LOVE Stevie, but between mid eighties and mid nineties she really ruined alot of my fandom.

Thanks for posting! I have to say, I'm not sure what the other ledgie saw in this! But, hey, maybe there's another (better) one floating around there?

Again, thanks.

first off, you have to keep in mind that this demo is warbled. it's not proper sound quality to really judge it solely on it's content. I love this song. I think it could've benefited from a few things, but I like it. but then, I like Affairs of the Heart and When I See You Again...

I love TITN, it just jungle thumped it's way into my heart from the first time I heard it upon its release. Such a cool album, 80's or not.

I also really love Welcome To The Room...Sara. The demo audio sucks so I never listen to it, but the recorded version rules. Such an odd song, but great. I love the ending, "when you hang up the phone you ceast to exist."

Yeah, the band really did do a good job of spicing this up and making it sound really good.

 Assuming one considers the song "good". Personally, I think it wasn't worth the tape it was recorded on. :insertprojectilevomitingsmiliehere:

TANGO is actually a very pretty album. But, it is totally Christine's. Her songs are the highlight of this project.
