Hey Phoenix,
A true tutorial is out of the question, nice try though. Not sure what computer platform you're on, but for simplicity sake, I use a Mac and will use a Mac as the example. There are several commercial applications, such as Pro Logic or Logic Express. Great tool that is more sophisticated than GarageBand (which can do the job). You just need the loops and beats. You can get extended loops for Garage Band or better yet, create your own beats and loops with a keyboard interface. It's really fun. I prefer using Pro Logic (Many pro remixes use this software), but Express is very good too and a lot cheaper. The learning curve from GarageBand to Logic is intense.
There are also some shareware applications that act like a DJ system. So you can input 2 tracks into a mix. So one is the song of your choice, the other would be a backbeat of sorts (plenty of those around and in compilations) for your back beat. Good to match bpm though!
Before I give you links, do you have a Mac?
