I got really into this song, too, a few months back. It's spectacular, I'm so glad it's in the setlist. It's such a weird little song. I think it seems more odd to me because I just started hearing it - I haven't had Belladonna for millions of years, like most people. There's just no song like it.

The drama of this song was always in the high notes.....not the same.

Actually last night at Concord she managed to get up there a few times in this song..I don't know if she'll be able to sustain her vocal performance for the entire tour though..it was pretty spectacular last night .

I have to agree with you there, she did do a fabulous vocal last night. She seemed happy, smiling alot, which wasnt the case 2 years ago at the Pavilion. Her dad wasnt doing well then, and she had reason to be distracted.
I truly hope she does maintain those vocals for the entire tour. It's pretty brief, and I would think it would be possible to do so.
I think it was Amber that said she was getting into the nuances of the vocals, and that really did make the night, despite the setlist.

hands down one of my favorite slow-burn Stevie songs. I don't think I've ever heard a version, high notes or not, that I don't absolutely gush over.

I'm with Jazzy on this one...HSML has always been one of my favorite songs live...it has a special vibe that no other Stevie song has....

On my computer, I have three different live versions of this song. I compared them all, and found that the instrumental outros are different on all of them. Here are snippets of the ends. Which way do you prefer this song to end?
