New song/To Be Inducted in AZ

This is according to Classic Rock Revisited:

STEVIE NICKS WRITES SONG ABOUT HURRICANE KATRINA & NEW ORLEANS
Stevie Nicks has written a song about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina, but she's not sure when it will be released. She had originally thought about making it a bonus track on her new greatest-hits album called Crystal Visions, but felt it needed to have a proper New Orleans feel, so she'll hold it until the right producer and time are found.

Nicks told livedaily.com, "I live in Los Angeles. I don't really know anybody with a New Orleans flair here. I made a really, really good demo of it and it's sitting in the demo trunk waiting for when I have some time to do it. When this tour's over at the end of the summer, that's probably one of the first things I'll do is find somebody. I want to get this song recorded."

Nicks added, "I don't think it will matter if it'll take another two years to come out, because New Orleans is not getting better overnight. I think it's going to be relevant for the next 10 years, (so I'll release it) whenever I get it done to the point of where I think it's really ready to help that city. That's what I want to do with it. I want to let it go somehow someway to help them. Whether it's just giving the song royalties over to the city of New Orleans or what -- but something. I'll figure out something."

Nicks and her old friend Chris Isaak head out on tour starting May 17th in Concord, California.

In other news, Nicks has been named an inductee into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall Of Fame. She'll be honored at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix on September 23rd, along with the Tubes, Linda Ronstadt, Steven Spielberg, and others. There's no word yet on whether she'll attend the ceremony.

Well there's the response to the 'new solo album ' rumour. One new song every 4 years or so..at this rate she'll have a new album ready when she 's oh maybe 110 or so.

Yeah, but I'm sure she's still got a mess of unreleased Lindsey songs sitting in her demo trunk that could be a new album. She should just go ahead & release this New Orleans one on iTunes.

I misread the title of this thread and thought Stevie was going to debut this new song in an AZ show. :(

That's cool about the AZ hall of fame. I thought Linda Ronstadt was a Californian? She lives in San Francisco.
