United 93

I watched this movie after I found a copy of it at the library on Monday. I missed it in the theater but figured I might as well watch it anyway. I was happy to see that it was completely unsensationalized and pretty tasteful. It felt realistic and didn't seem to be going after the big bucks. If Jerry Bruckheimer or Michael Bay had gotten their hands on it it would have been a noisy, exploitive action movie, but it wasn't.

My Mom and I were pretty much drained and numb by the time it was over. The last 10 minutes were probably the most depressing and intense I've ever seen in a movie. Mom just sat during the credits and mumbled "intense" once. I was shuddering and felt like I'd been hit with a hammer. The pre-release controversy was completely overblown and the comments about the movie being jignostic propaganda were complete bull****. I don't think any of those people even saw the movie. I myself probably won't feel any need to watch it again for another five years.

I agree, it was good to see it's a movie, not a documentary, but very realistic and not "too Hollywood". It was seriously produced.

And the fact that this happened not long ago makes it more touchy. If it were about something that happened 100 years ago, (like a "serious" Titanic) maybe it would be seen with different eyes. By 9/11 still hurts to all the living good people.

I agree, it was nicely done. I will not, however, be watching that Nicholas Cage 9/11 movie any time soon, whatever it was called. Oh, World Trade Center. Yeah. No.

See that one I did see. It was actually quite good , I thought. Of course I liked Spiderman 3, so apparently my standards are low.

But anyway, I thought it was well done..it was way intense and I won't be seeing it again, but I'm glad I did see it.

I saw this film a while back. I thought it was very well done... but I don't think I'll be watching it again.

I didn't think much to World Trade Center

It's not that bad. I usually can't stand Nicolas Cage, but in the movie he makes no harm. Stone talks about 9/11 from personal perspectives, and some scenes are quite poignant. The movie in itself then is a bit redundant (especially from a non american point of view) but I've seen far worse.
