Any Snow Patrol fans?

In the last few weeks I've been streaming radio station KBCO-FM from Boulder, Colorado. They've been playing in HEAVY rotation songs by Snow Patrol ("Shut Your Eyes" in particular). I think the constant inundation has me now liking the band. To me, they sound like an updated version of Gin Blossoms.

Any fans of the band here?

I quite like them. I haven't been able to pick up their album yet, but I do have quite a collection of their songs on my computer. I'm looking forward to seeing them at the Pinkpop festival on May 27.

They are quite good - The second album is pretty good overall, but "Set Fire to the Third Bar" with Martha Wainwright is a stand out in particular. :)

I love Martha Wainwright!!

Yeah, "Set Fire to the Third Bar" is the best song on the new album. It's beautiful.

I much prefer Final Straw and the first album to the new one, although it's okay. Chili, if you start to get into them you might eventually want to check out the Reindeer Section, a side project of Gary Lightbody's. I really like their records- they're kinda like the New Pornographers/Broken Social Scene of Scotland, with a gazillion guest stars from the Edinburgh music scene.

Snow Patrol is very good. Like Hayley said, Final Straw is a great album.
