The Ultimate Stevie Survivor 1st Round With.... Rock A Little
So, when voting ended last night, the vote count was 3-2 in favor of the 1st half of Wild Heart. Thanks to those who voted.
So here we are talking about Rock A Little. You Either love it or hate it. I personally enjoy the 2nd half of this one better (Some Become Strangers to HAEWAFY). They are all very strong songs in my opinion. What do you all think. Voting will end tomorrow morning at 7!!! Vote away and have fun.:D Take Care, Ethan |
I like the second half better. All except "The Nightmare", which has its moments, but overall that song doesn't grasp me by any means. "If I Were You" is my favorite off of Rock A Little. This track just brings me so much happiness. "No Spoken Word" is just awesome! "Talk to Me" is classic '80s! :)
This is my favorite Stevie album! :) :) LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! :) |
Just because of Talk to Me and No Spoken Word alone, I'm going with the second half.

I went with side 1. There are more tracks I like on side 1 however I think side 2 is slightly stronger but let down by "the nightmare" which is IMO the second worst song Stevie has ever done (I Still Miss Someone being THE worst). I like I Can't Wait, Rock A Little, Sister Honey, I Sing For The Things and Imperial Hotel. I don't like Some Become Strangers or The Nightmare on side 2. So I went with side 1.

I adore the whole record but the first half defintely contains most of my favs, with the exception of No Spoken Word...one of Stevie's very best songs imo. The lyrics, the vocal, that chugging beat. I never get tired of hearing it. I still, to this day, can't quite figure out what it's about. A troubled relationship for sure but I think, as in most of Stevie's songs, there's more to it. She just sounds so incredibly pissed off. I love it!!

I love I Can´t Wait, but other songs in first side are boring. My favourite songs are Talk To Me, No Spoken Word and The Nightmare too, so I vote for the second half.
