ISO Live Bwana
Hi again...
Ok, so my last request for an OOTC boots didn't get any results, but I am in search of another Lindsey request. I read that Liddy performed Bwana once (I think it was only once) on this UTS tour. First, was that show recorded? Second, could someone post Bwana if it was? It is one of my favorite songs by Linds and I'd love to hear it. BTW, I don't know much about his set listings on past tours, but has he done Bwana in concert before this tour? If so, does anyone have a version? :] |
Here it is on Youtube shot by your's truly. I have the actual video file that is much better quality but it would take me 10,000 years to upload it because I am on dial-up. Maybe somebody saved that file and they can post it.

Wow that was great! The video is a perfect shot!! Thanks for getting that linked up for me. I should've searched but honestly never thought about it.
I wonder why he dropped it from the show?! edit: Anyone know what the hug/kiss at the end was about? Did she request Bwana? |
Yeah, she either had a shirt or a sign or something...and then he gave her the hug and kiss at the end...
it wasnt really ever part of the set, so it cant really be considered "dropped" but I wish I could have been there to see/hear him play it! he also did a few lines of Johnny Stew at one show and said he'd do it on the "electric" legs of the tour...lets hope!! |

I see nothing on the internet.

Wow! Look! It's Lindsey actually being spontaneous! I was aware that he performed the song on TV way back 1981. I had no idea he performed that song -- if only once--on his recent tour. While most of his/their (FM) set lists are set in stone, it's nice to see him get a little loose once in a while.
Is my memory failing or did he not remember the song's lyrics from the studio version? I don't recall him singing the line "Bwana is the vistor in control of your own fate." |
