Ok... maybe cross stitch makes me a geek but this is what has been keeping me busy recently!

Deb also works on cross stitch when time permits (She made me a back rose that hangs in our living room).

I dont think cross stitch is geeky, I think it takes talent to finish a piece of work.

I used to try to cross stitch, but my stitches were always too big. My eyesight is rapidly degrading, too, so that doesn't really help.

You've done a lovely job, Pip. A very nice reflection of a tremendous amount of effort. Does it have a title?

Hate to admit it, but I wished I had the patience to do sewing (Dont care if that makes me less macho or not, as a famous family saying goes "I dont give a f**k")...mainly to finish the blankets/quilt/dolls that my Mom had left unfinished with her passing.

We do have 4 sewing machines now (Deb has the 1 that was her Mom's and I have 3 that were my Mom's - Including her prized baby 1906 Singer cast-iron pedal wheel machine that still works) so I could keep myself very busy.

Thanks guys... she is called Fairy Idyll by Mirabilia. They are all designed by a wonderful artist called Nora Corbett. I've done quite a few of hers now.
