No, that is not a joke. LOL

If a broker buys up a bunch of tickets to a concert, what if they don't sell? Do they sell them back to Ticketmaster?

Yeah, last minute. That's usually when the good tickets show up again, a few hours before the show. :)

That's when they stand outside the show, and take whatever they can get for them. Hopefully, they take a LOSS.

No, those are the band's ticket holds that are released at the last minute. Nobody can "sell tickets back to Ticketmaster", unless the show has been cancelled or rescheduled (ie- a refund)
