My Thoughts Regarding the "Stevie Nicks Movie"

OK,
SO there seems to be a lot of hostility about Lindsay playing the Stevie Nicks roll in an upcoming movie..... True or not, look at it this way.
How many artist have a movie about them? Fleetwood Mac Fans should be honored that we are getting a major motion picture about the greatest band ever. Who cares who plays Stevie, Courtney Love could play stevie and Tom Cruise could play Lindsey and I would still go pay to see this movie.
IMO I cannot wait for this to come out. I think its a great feat for Fleetwood Mac to have a movie made about the height of their fame. How many bands can say that.....? Not many, but some can. I am just proud that Fleetwood Mac is one.

Go Lindsay Lohan and whoever else plays in this movie. This is the role of a life time. .....

Can I play John?

Thats just my rant... Take it how you will.

I'm glad that the industry folks are talking about making a movie. But that's the thing: A movie. We aren't going to get more than one. Therefore, I want it to be a good movie.

I'm not liking what I hear so far.

I agree. Anyway since Ms Lohan has just confessed her alcohol problems I really doubt any studio would even consider to make her produce this movie. And I still consider all the thing very unlikely to happen in the terms she'd like... Besides I think Lindsey deserves a better actor too. Jared Leto seems to have only one expression... okay, maybe two.

What I don't get it's why everyone thinks this is the first FM movie project ever conceived

I think all the hoopla surrounding this is hilarious. I think everyone is acting as though this is the first FM movie project ever conceived because it IS the only one that has gotten this much press

I mean when has an FM movie been considered and then splashed ALL over the damn place? Did I miss it?

I don't really think this is going to happen - if it does - it'll be years from now....unless there's some secret screenplay we're not aware of - which is not beyond possibilty.

It's having all this press because she's trying to sell it before having anything to work on (like a script, a cast or a director and especially a go from a studio), a tecnique more and more used in recent years, especially from CAA actors. I'm sure there must be at least a couple of scripts we don't know about that never go further the first draft, even if probably none in recent years. I think with a young star and a reliable director it could happen, and if it does, I guess it will need from three years to five years to get finalized.

Of course we're delighted the Mac are getting the attention that they deserve, but at the same time we want it done properly.... as has been said, if a movie gets made, it's going to be the only one. We want the legacy to be represented properly.
