Kate Bush songs you'd wish Stevie would cover
I've been thinking about this alot lately, mostly my thought pattern has been going in the direction of "why not?". I fully realize the difference in Kate's voice versus Stevie's but just for kicks, what Kate Bush song would YOU like Stevie to cover? My pics:
James And The Cold Gun Rocket's Tail Wuthering Heights (of course!) This Woman's Work Running Up That Hill The Saxophone Song Eat The Music |
Alot of Kate 's songs are out of Stevie's register now if they were ever even in it .I would like to hear her do "How to be Invisible " since it has Stevie written all over it though and she could do it even with her current voice.
|
Im not familiar with Kate Bush (tho maybe I should be!) but I do like Wuthering Heights, and if it could be adjusted down for Stevie, I'd love to hear her do it!
Stevie's done a lot of songs that have surprised me so why not this one? |
I like Kate Bush, but I prefer that Stevie not do covers and instead record from the buckets of her own songs that are out there.
|
the word may be "could" cover more than "would". this being said, "The Love and The Anger" might work, perhaps "Running Up That Hill" or "Suspended In Gaffa".
|
I think Stevie doing Running up That Hill would be weird. Could you imagine her singing Babooshka?

Kate's awesome!!! http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a85...kateflower.jpg |
I love Kate too but her range is soooo high, I can't see Stevie doing any of her songs. I'd like to hear Kate cover Stevie's stuff though.
|
wow Kate's range is indeed way up there (still).
I think hammer horror and The Big Sky would be interesting ;) |
I didn't think about 'Love And Anger', that would be sooooo cool. Especially the doo doo doo doo doo doo doooo parts. How about 'Breathing'? There's some creepy lyrics, can you picture Stevie singing "Breathing the fallout in, out in, out in, out innnnnnnnnnnnnnn". I agree with everyone here, Kate's register is WAY out of reach for Stevie but it was fun to speculate.
