Free to a good home...

a bunch of moronic cats, Any takers???

The past few days our cats (Specifically Missy, Harlen, Token & Gilligan) have been coming into the bedroom all hours of the day & night, screwing around the area where all my stereo equipment is placed (Which is upon a large TV cart w/caster wheels).

"Why are they messing around my system, I keep it clean, so who knows" I thought. Missy (My bottle-fed baby Calico) was having nut attacks trying to get at something in the vicinity of my stereo, But I didnt see a thing. Most cat owners know that cats sometimes see something we may not see.

Anyways, fast forward to this afternoon. Deb & myself decide to go shopping for groceries/pet supplies/music/etc. We were gone for about 7 hours and when we returned home (After packing away our groceries in the kitchen cabinets) I decided to go into the bedroom to relax, But I noticed "a-foul" in the bedroom...'A-Foul" as in something did not smell right. It smelt like death! Stinking, rotting death.

I asked Deb did she smell it, she replied "No", So I guessed either I stink (I took a shower today-Thank you very much) or something is dead in the bedroom. Just where this dead thing was at was a mystery to me.

I looked under my stereo equipment, "Nope-nuthin' there". But I still smelt something dead. I did a head count of all our MORONIC cats and (yes unfortunately  ) they were all accounted for. So I continued on my quest to find what was "foul in Denmark" (bka the bedroom).

I cleaned out my stack of CD cases, Boxed sets & stereo supplies-"Nuthin'". "Hmmm, something is definitely dead in here and it sure as hell not my sense of smell" I thought to myself.

Then I decided to look around on top of my stereo equipment, since I noticed the stench was stronger there...To my surprise and amusement, I found the culprit of the whole stinky incident-It seems our cats decided my speaker was a great hiding place to stick the carcass of one dead & rotten mouse!!

Gee thanks ya a-holes!!! What is that, A hint about my musical taste? A hint about my sense of humor? A general threat that I may be next or something unless I meet you damn demands for more expensive cat-food, toys & supplies?

Sheesh...it still smells bad in here!!!

Yo, I already got my own mouse killah! He left a nice rat in the yard last week. Thanks, Spanky! We'll have that for dinner!
Oh, man, I can't believe they found a super house hiding spot for their kills. Think of it as love, they know where you spend most of your time, and wanted to bring you a great present!
So, do you know which one did it? :p I only have one killah, the siamese one is slow and kinda...slow...and really loud...and the oyenge one is to refined, and kinda old, although very fast.
So I know if there is dead mouses afoot, it's my good boy/killer man Spanky. He brought one still alive into the house for me before, I let it go, and a half hour later half of it showed up on my porch.

 Oh, man, that story cracked me up. Don't worry, they probably think that's enough food for a few weeks, and won't bring you another soon. Lol.
I might consider trading my dumb loud siamese for one of your mousketeers. hehehehe.

they meant it be like an Easter Egg, a stinking rotten one at that-But one sent with love

If I hazard a guess it was Missy, she is one of the two kittens I bottled fed in July 2005 (Her littermate Rufus died in June this year-A truly sad day) so maybe it was her way (Though be it odd) of showing love "for her Daddy".

Is she the fast, smart, athletic one, then? You guys have a lot of cats, though, it might be hard to tell which.
I know it's gross, but isn't it kind of sweet that they bring you gifts of food like that? I mean, you know, everyone is always on about how sweet dogs are (they are) and how cats are not as loving, but cats totally bring you gifts. I think it's very sweet. In a gross way. When my man brings me the gross gifts, I always try to thank him even though it's super disgusting. You know, they're trying to contribute to the family meal and all that. But I always say "why didn't you just eat it? That would be a lot better, because I can't eat that mouse! You coulda saved me a dollar in cat food if you woulda ate it!"
So cute. And, technically, mice and rats are disease carrying vermin (even though I like them) so, you know, they're doing us a favor...saving you from the plague and all...

I guess she thought you needed a Halloween treat. And she thinks candy is yucky, and mouses are delicious.

Gross! My cat used to just maul the poor things and leave them on our doorstep. We'd go out to get the paper, and invariably find a bloody little present underneath. But it's not like anyone here read the sports section, anyway.

is a super smart black calico (Spaded). Her Mother (Girl-A Bobcat tailed black calico, her tail was identical to one belonging to a Bobcat's) is a cat that 'strangely' showed up at our house the day we arrived back home from burying my Mother. Until my nephew walked in carrying 'Girl', I have never seen that cat before in this area.

Girl decided to stick around, so we decided to feed her with a couple of other strays that showed up ("Bluto' & 'Nutty-Buddy' respectfully Missy's & Rufus' Father cats).

She ended up pregnant and had her litter in our house on July 3rd (2 kittens were sadly stillborn) but she suffered major hemorraging and died on July 5th-Leaving me to bottle feed both Missy and her lil' bro Rufus.

Rufus died last June of an infection that caused liquid to build around his lungs and heart (The vet said there's no cure for that infection). I cried my ass off that night, I dont like to have people around me when I shed tears (A private/personal thing of mine.)

Missy is perfectly healthy & somewhat Nutty, so she is my "Nutty-Girl" (Named after her parents) and is sitting up here on the waterbed with Pip, Gilligan & Fatty/Bertha.
