I've never seen Lindsey with this guitar before..

Do any of you know anything about it or when it is used on the tour..?

Michael.

New Guitar

I was wondering the same thing. Saw him play it in Chicago during World Turning I believe.

natesummers 10-31-2006 03:23 PM

I have been wondering this as well. My first thought was it's an custom fender or something, but I think the headstock is wrong for a Fender. It's a bolt on neck. cant tell if it has more than just the one pickup (not counting the piezo I am guessing is on the bridge). This one has me stumped. Maybe the next person who sees him should ask, lol.

He plays it during world turning, yes.

Yeah, when he busted it out for World Turning in Nashville it caught my eye. I have no idea what it is.. but I've been wondering.

It's tuned (low to high) to B-F#-B-E-G#-C#. That's all I know.

Looks like a modified Turner of some kind to me.

New Guitar

Doesn't look like any Turner I have seen before, not to say it isn't but...
I have 3 Turners and they all have some common aspect, such as the headstock, this guitar looks totally different. Can anyone get a zoom on
the head because it looks like there is a logo there?

WelshWitchPMD 10-31-2006 11:46 PM

I zoomed in on it. I can't read it but hopefully someone will be able to tell what it is.

headstock reads:

Venice, California USA

I believe LB is playing an ACN model. The website has the same body, but with a classical neck, listed as the ACS series, but the ACN series has no photos available.

Thank goodness for my laptop screen, lol.

Direct from Carruthers Guitars in an e-mail to me:

He is using the ACS6 - stock as it comes. The story behind this guitar is
that Brett Tuggle was going to try it out. Lindsey saw it in the studio,
picked it up and never let go. His representative called me
and told me to put it on the card the next day. Brett's still trying to
get over it...

The ACS6 goes for $2495, and it outperforms just about anything on the
market in terms of playability, sound, tone, reliability, and all other
factors one measures a guitar with.

Interesting story and apparently a damned fine geetar. I may look into one.

Excellent! Thanks for inquiring about it. :D

I guess this would sort of be a bummer for Rick Turner.

...oh, maybe not, luthiers are sort of existing in some Zen realm anyway.

Not really. LB seems to still be using multiple Turners still. Maybe it just gave him the sound he wanted on a few tunes. Still, must be a sweet guitar.

Cool...thanks guys. :-)

So WT is now played in "B"?

(I just tried it.....it's a helluva lot easier to sing in B!-although "B" still doesn't sound quite right)
