Yes I actually have good news!

I was just informed by my boss today that I'm in line for a raise in a couple weeks. Hoo-AH!!

Dude, that's wicked pissa! That's just how we say things around here. Okay, most people don't say that anymore. Congrats!

I love that Boston lingo. I swwear I'm from there in a previous life. It's funny because it is an Arby's but the people there are really pleasant to work with.

It's not like alot of fast food places in that if youre making sandwiches its mostly beef and freash stuff so I dont stink like grease everyday when I get off work.

JazmenFlowers 10-16-2006 02:02 PM

that's great. at least someone's job is going well. :D

DrummerDeanna 10-16-2006 02:03 PM

^^

That's good - it's probably better for your skin too - some of my friends who've worked places like McD's and Burger King always get really bad acne  They say it's the grease in the air.

I always enjoyed Arby's, but I don't go there often.

You know, I finally decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and thinking I'm above jobs like this. It's all about attitude.

any job someone does and does well is a good job, and I hate the notion that some people are "above" other jobs. Things happen in life - and who's to say that next week I won't be cleaning toilets somewhere?

You're working and contributing to society and providing a service, and there's pride to be taken in that.

David's been talking about it so much, I HAD to stop and feed my Arby's craving the other night. I'm a Beef and Cheddar man....
