Atlanta!!!! *setlist info*

The show was INCREDIBLE. Wow. We got there about 2 1/2 hours early to get in line and ended up about 3 people in from Lindsey.

Here's the songs I remember (no order):

Fleetwood Mac songs:
I'm So Afraid
Second Hand News
World Turning
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Tusk
Go Your Own Way
Murrow
Red Rover
Big Love/Go Insane (acoustic)
*edit- forgot this one!* Never Going Back Again

Lindsey:
Trouble
Cast Away Dreams
Under the Skin
Show You How
It was You
Holiday Road

opened with Not Too Late; holiday road and Show You How were the encores.

-Lindsey is looking good
-I'm So Afraid sounds VERY different, almost like what it would sound like on TITN. World Turning has some remix ending with voice overs; Taku did a short percussion solo while Lindsey chilled on the floor. Tusk also had a very different sound.
-All the new songs were GREAT.
-The crowd was SO into it. Seemed like almost all die-hards!
-Merchandise is pretty simple and limited; black t-shirt with Lindsey playing guitar and words "Lindsey Buckingham" on the bottom, tour dates on back, and a marroon (?) junior shirt. Also a keychain and the CD.

I missed some songs like Try for the Sun and I am Waiting, and was hoping for some FM songs they didn't do on the last tour, but even Second Hand news was a surprise.

Lindsey was totally overwhelmed by everyone's response. He seems really greatful and I hope he realizes there IS a fan base out there that LOVES him, will buy his records, and go to his shows!

Hopefully others will fill you in, and it was great meeting some of you Ledgies!

Thanks for the quick review. He's doing a good amount of new songs although I thought he would do DOR and SGCYM for sure. I wish he would do a few less FM songs and concentrate more on his solo work. I really wanted to hear a couple of OOTC songs like Countdown. Overall, it seems like he is doing a good variety of slow and fast songs.

Thank you Adam! It sounds AWESOME!!!!

Hmm...

so he did 'Murrow', that would be interesting to hear.

Thanks for the review.

IKINW !! I bet Gerald will be salivating..how neat:]

face of glass 10-07-2006 01:47 AM

IKINW should sound better stripped down than it did on the SYW tour, glad he decided to do that one again.

Other than that, apart from the UTS songs, pretty much the usual stuff. I guess it was easy to pick all those FM songs since the same guys played them on the SYW tour as well. Only Trouble and Go Insane from his first three solo albums but that was to be expected.

I'm really looking forward to hearing both Holiday Road and It Was You with this lineup, should be interesting. Also I'm a bit surprised that he played both I'm So Afraid and Murrow. Of course if he's trying to work out Tango In The Night in the former then it all makes conceptualising sense. ;)

So let's start searching for the torrent now!

Wow, he played Holiday Road? He derisively dismissed it at Soundstage (when we were all shouting out requests)

This I gotta see. I suppose I should get a ticket.

Wow... great news. Glad to hear the audience was so into it and that Lindsey acknowledged that. I agree with less FM and more LB solo work... I could do without SHN, WT and GYOW. But I think I understand why GYOW is there... it's kind of his SS. But I am sooooo happy CAD and UTS are on the set list. WTG!! (way to go..)

Now that is a setlist which makes sense to me. I think artists should rely on their newest material first and then add things from over the years.
Murrow and Red Rover to me are like solo songs as these ones were as much intended to be on GOS as some of the now new songs. Together with the UTS songs there are 7 fresh songs on the tour.
Then the addition of IKINW and Holiday road to the normal catalogue of what he would play. I think fans can be very content of this mix. It is no revival band festival!
I wonder if LB has gotten sceptical over the years towards the OOTC material. That nothing from that one is left for the live shows is significant. Perhaps OOTC songs do not fit into the mix in his opinion or he just wants to keep that chapter closed?
I wonder how he managed to differentiate the I`m so afraid solo from Murrow.
Was the venue sold out? How many people did fit in there?
Glad you had a great time.
Stefan

Cool. I wish there was a bit more solo stuff in the list, but overall that seems very cool. A lot of my favourite songs in there!

Which one got ISA solo? Did he keep it in ISA or use it for Murrow like on Soundstage? Or maybe he didn't use it at all! (Or used it twice lol)

Looking forward to hearing a bootleg of this tour!

Holiday Road! That's one happy, fun, bouncy song that I never thought he'd play live!

The setlist sounds great, can't wait to hear Castaway Dreams live. Wish he would add Down on Rodeo and Come! :o Hmmm, maybe time to make a sign for Tuesday night? Think he'll take requests?

Sounds like an excellent setlist! I am glad that he's finally doing I'm So Afraid in a different style - it's one of my favourite Lindsey songs. I enjoy the Dance version, but I didn't think that formula held up quite as well on the SYW tour, probably due to him losing some range. It'll be interesting to find out whether he's changed the key, or if he's adopted a more mellow arrangement like on the OOTC tour.

(Patiently awaiting some bootlegs)

Was Christopher Nicks selling the merchandise like he was for the OOTC tour? Prob. not, but I just thought I'd ask anyway!
