Any fans of John Fogerty and Steve Winwood
Just recently I have been listening a lot to these two artists and I must say that I really enjoy their music. I really like John's new song Deja Vu All Over Again. As for Steve I really like Valerie and Back in The Highlife Again. His Traffic material is also excellent including Dear Mr Fantasy. Any other Fogerty and Winwood fans out there?

I love both. Steve was fun as an 80's artist but John Fogerty for me is timeless.

Love Fogerty. Recently picked up Deja Vu All Over Again, Blue Moon Swamp, The Long Road Home and The Long Road Home In Concert (DVD) - all excellent stuff. I'm still bitter that he's not bringing his tour to Northern California though.
Could've had a two-for one deal, since Billy Burnette is part of Fogerty's band. |
I absolutely LOVE John Fogerty...solo and with CCR. I have seen him in concert twice.....once by himself and once with John Mellencamp. Both shows were amazing. If you can ever see him in concert, it is a must!!!!!:blob2: :blob1:
As far as Steve Winwood, I have seen him once....solo. It was a good show too. I like some of his stuff, but I'm not a huge fan. I'm a huge fan of John Fogerty though. |
Love Fog'...I saw him like once or twice...he's AWESOME!!!

CCR was the first rock concert I ever went to, when I was 15. I was a HUGE Creedence fan. Yeah, I like Fogerty still. His solo material isn't all that far of a stretch from what he did with CCR. But, then, if you read about Creedence, Fogerty basically WAS "CCR" (which is one of the major factors in their breakup...once they tried making a "Democratic" album (Mardi Gras...which I thought was a pretty good album), things went down the toilet.
And, Steve Winwood...I really never got as much into his '80s/'90s solo work as I did during his Traffic/Blind Faith days. Even his 1994 Traffic reunion material still had a very "Traffic" feel which was quite a bit different than his solo material. I saw Traffic a couple of times, but I've never seen a solo Steve Winwood concert. Of course, I like his work as a teenager in the Spencer Davis Group, too. "Gimme Some Lovin'" is definitely a classic...as is "Keep On Running" & "I'm A Man" (which was covered by Chicago) |
