Dual Disc, i bet! (hope)

This new hits collection would rock the holiday season if Rhino makes it a dual disc- Has anyone bought the newest cd of Blondie's Greatest Hits? It comes with a dvd with 16 videos, so actually i guess that isn't a dual disc.. there's even a Doors/Blondie medley of 'Riders on The Storm' and 'Rapture' on both the cd and dvd...
Considering Stevie wrote much of her material, the "only" (?) major expense for Rhino they aren't incurring anyway would be paying the various directors of her videos. Since the videos have be sitting on a shelf forever with no-one making a dime, Rhino should be able to put together a deal with somewhat diminished royalties to allow the 'bonus dvd' to happen, if the various directors wouldn't demand top dollar (my Blondie pal told me thats how their newest Hits/cd-dvd made it to store shelves with already so many Blondie Hits cds previously available-now this one is the ultimate one to own)- It could work for Stevie too, and outsell 'Timespace' if its a combo cd-dvd package. My gosh, the 'Edge of 17' video long lost to the 'casual fan', the videos to her half a dozen or so hit singles and any kind of bonus footage- my first choice would be the Stevie-Don duet of 'Hotel California' but i know it won't happen.
Since 'If You Ever Did Believe' didn't make it onto the Practical Magic dvd, i'd think it cost them considerable sales, if only to Stevie's fans- it would have been worth their costs for the extra sales. So this new 'best of' is the perfect place for these lost celluloid treasures to surface.
I do think (please!) that Rhino will be competitive though; and make it a cd-dvd combo, it's the only chance for the package to sell as well as Rhino would like. Also, it seems to be becoming the industry standard to combine new cd releases with a bonus dvd. (The Rhino Handmade specialty label is pretty awesome, maybe they could release it on Handmade, or their other specialty subsidiary, i forgot the name right now.)
I just hope it's done right. After the fiasco of the 'Destiny Rules' dvd having not a drop of footage that wasn't shown on VH1 when there was so much available; and after the horrid (we're talking 'Time' sales figures) bomb laid by the rather wretched 'Live In Boston' (half a cd and 2 dvds that could have fit onto 1)--- Stevie sure needs to have this release done right for her- if BLONDIE can get top treatment, with a competitively priced, comprehensive fan-pleasing package, Stevie deserves no less, and much more.
Imagine getting to see the 'lost' Walter Egan videos, like duets of 'Tunnel of Love' and others! That i wouldn't expect on this new best of... but they sure could dust off the 'Edge of 17' video and the original 'Civil War' version of "Stand Back" along with the hit version! So many possibilities. 'Sometimes It's A Bitch' when it just won't happen.......

I don't think our problem is really with Stevie. We got the 'I Can't Wait' video collection back in 1987, so a DVD compilation isn't beyond the realm of possibility... but if no one at Warner Home Video or Rhino Video initiates something like this, it's not going to happen.

Once they get the ball rolling, all Stevie has to do is sign off on it.
