The Buckingham/Nicks sound

I am so in love with the song "Say Goodbye" on Say You Will.
It got me thinking about the Buckingham/Nicks sound. The mixing of
Stevie's voice on Say Goodbye reminds me of the way Lindsey mixed
her background vocals on I'm so afraid. It is just so haunting and beautiful.
It made me miss the Buckingham/Nicks sound to hear it again.

I know, there's just nothing lyk it. It also reminds me of the harmonies on Crystal. Let's pray for them 2 do SG and Crystal on the FM 07 tour.

I prefer the live version over the CD version. It's a masterpiece.

The Soundstage version is a killer. Simply beautiful. I also love Never Going Back Again from SS...something about the way her vocals are prominent...its lovely.

There were moments that you could have heard a pin drop in that place. I'm going to have to watch SS again and pay particular attention to NGBA. Which brings me to another question. Did anyone ever rip the audio from the Soundstage DVD to CD? Is it floating around out there in the fan community? That's something that I don't recall having that I really should have. It's probably the closest thing to a Buckingham Nicks show I will ever see in my lifetime.

I havea foler of mp3s from Soundstage, and I think I might have gotten them from buckinghamnicks.net, but I can't recall. For some reason, though, I don't see "Say Goodbye" with the others.
Here is NGBA:

I agree 100%

The live version is my favorite song from the concert video. It is so emotional, I feel so identifed with that song, I think I could have sung that on any of my relationships ends.

However when I listen the studio version, with all that faster guitar sound, all the feeling is lost

JazmenFlowers 09-06-2006 05:30 PM

I love this song so much.

I think I have it as an mp3. I'll check when I get home.
